My credit history is good, I have about four credit cards that I sustain a moderate revolving balance on monthly. I have done well with them, but I have had one for 1 year, the next for almost a year, and the other two inside of six months. The auto that I am trying to purchase is around k, with one bank accepting me for a rate of 7% with 20% down, while all other banks decline my application.

I guess I have three questions =P
1. Why did this creditor accept me on decent terms?
2. How do I find more like that?
3. If I keep me credit cards in good standing, will that eventually solve the issue with my financing history?

I only have 6 months of credit history, but all of my credit cards do have a pretty high balance, although I pay them all on time and I just opened an account with AT&T last month. Is my credit going to stay this bad as long as I keep a high balance on my credit cards? Or is it just high because I do not have a lot of credit experience?

The account was set up in August and I have yet to hear from any collection agency. I was shocked, as I paid this bill on the day of service and again a few months later. I never heard anything from them again, via paper bill or phone call after I paid, so I assumed the account was taken care of. Now its in collections, and my credit is down to "fair" and in the 600s’!! I’m trying to despute this whole thing and possibly pay the .00, once again to try at least get the account closed. If I can’t prove that I paid and it stays on my record, how long will it take for my credit to go back up to above 700? I have good credit habits otherwise, and I have 11 accounts with a perfect payment history according to the report. I was planning on buying a house in about 5 years, and want to be able to get the rate I deserve with my otherwise perfect credit history.
        This account is for a doctors office visit, in which I paid cash for, but they have no record of my payment.

        My 11 accounts are student loans, many of which have less than ,000.
        Spending more than my income is not the problem here! It’s pure clerical error. I live on 50% of my take-home pay. The remaining goes toward student loans. I put myself through college, and that debt was necessary and an investment in my future.

I have limited credit history that I messed up in college, so my score is 520-550. I was looking at a few used cars but figure a newer used car would be more reliable and need less maintenance. What effect will paying the loan on time have for me? How long before any benefits kick in? Will it improve my score more because most of my credit now is very small credit cards and this will be a big auto loan?

          I know making payments is kind of a waste, but I have the income to pay more, so I’m just focused on what, if any, FICO score improvement I can get.

She received a credit card application in the mail. The application does not require me to put in any of my personal information but it does ask to state household income.

            If she gets into trouble with her card, will it affect my credit or will the damage be limited to her credit score?
