I’m a college student and have no established credit. I’ve had a debit card for about 6 years, but I’d like to open a credit card to start building credit. I’ve researched MTV and Citi bank Visas, Discover, and American Express, but am still not sure what the best option would be. I plan to use my card sparingly and pay it immediately from my debit account.

I need to start building credit and I would like to do it fast. I heard one way is to get this credit card that acts like a debit card. Is there? And also how can I gain credit fast?

When I use my debit card at the store, it asks if I want like {content}, , or cashback. How does cashback work? And how would this cash back procedure work on a credit card?
Should I take a cashback amount when using my debit card? I see other people in line in front of me using their cards and when ask if they want cash back, some of them press no on the key pad.

I am trying to rebuild my credit after ID theft, a couple of problems that were mine and years of basically not having any credit reported. (I primarily use my debit card and pay cash for everything). I make good money now and am trying to rebuild in order to purchase a condo in the next couple of years. My good accounts (rental, club, cable, cell, etc.) have not reported my good credit. So how many cards should I take out that will help boost my credit score but not hinder my credit. Thank you!

does a debit card repair credit in the same way that a secured credit card does? if not, what’s the best secured credit card out there (lowest cost, etc.)
